About

Vincent Delbrouck (aka V.D.), born in Brussels in 1975, is a self-taught and naïve art maker. By integrating his personal, contextual and fictional perspectives within his prolific archives, he produces lasting impressions of the living places where he feels at home: Cuba and Nepal. Working outside categories and experimenting with various media, V.D. uses c-prints, collages, photocopies and texts to create colorful flows of painting inside books and constellations on the walls. His work deeply reflects life as a natural process of changing energies and his obsessions, moving in every direction. V.D. has already (self)published five books. His work was exhibited at FOAM, Huis Marseille, Charleroi Museum of Photography, FoMu, Centro de la Imagen (Mexico), Photoforum Pasquart, Musée des Beaux-Arts de Mulhouse,… He was the winner of the OUTSET UNSEEN AWARD 2015, a finalist at the LEICA OSKAR BARNACK AWARD 2016 and a DISCOVERY OF THE MEETING PLACE IN FOTOFEST 2006.

V.D. is represented by Stieglitz19 gallery (Antwerp). He lives in the Belgian countryside.
